My new CD is called 'Secret Combination'. It is kind of a smooth jazz album, but don't think that this means cliche guitar licks on a standard drumloop.

The guitar playing is smooth but 'real', and the backing consists of various acoustic and electronic elements. Maria Harp is featured on three tracks.

You can read more about it and listen here.

With Maria Harp I made 3 albums. The latest one is called 'Up Close'. It is basically a duo album with standards and some originals, but to provide additional variation in tonal colours, some tracks involve a 2nd guitar track (overdub). The atmosphere is intimate and direct, Maria voice's comes out wonderfully on these recordings. 'Pure sonic heaven' one reviewer said! See and listen here.

Before that, some time ago, we made a very special album: having written original music consisting of jazz with fusion and pop flavours, we wanted to work with both an electric and an acoustic bass player. With the help of some valuable contacts, we ended up with some of the greatest bass players in the world!

Dutch Hein van de Geyn, who also produced the album, Gary Willis, co-leader of Tribal Tech, Pino Palladino, the most wanted bass player in the world of pop, and Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen, the famous Dane, who worked with Oscar Peterson and many, many others.

Then some marvelous musicians, such as Amina Figarova, and others. In incredible team of musicians. Listen to the CD here.

Our first album together was called Easy To Love, an warm album of standards, recorded with our band at the time, with Bart Platteau on flute among others. Read about it and listen here.

A few years ago, I compiled an album from various recordings made with Elferink archtop guitars. It got started by making some solo guitar recordings, which I provided to Frans Elferink, the luthier. Over time, I made several more recordings with some of his guitars, and when jazz guitar enthousiasts started to ask for these recordings, I decided to make a 'limited edition' album out of it. The CD itself is no longer avaialable, but you can still buy it as a download. The guitar sound is fabulous!

I have participated also in some other  CD albums.
